Driving License Rules: To drive on the road in India or any other country, a driving license is required. There are different licensing rules in every country, license is given only after fulfilling them. Generally, in most of the countries the age for obtaining a driving license is kept at 18 years only. In India also, license is made only after 18 years. What are the rules regarding licensing?
At the age of 16, a license for a gearless bike is given. This driving license is issued for a vehicle whose engine capacity is less than 50 cc. There is a provision of fine for driving a vehicle with more engine than this. After making this license, you can get it updated as soon as you complete 18 years. For this you will have to apply again and get a permanent license. After getting this license, you will be able to drive both car and bike.

If you are also 16 years old then you can apply to RTO for your scooter of less than 50 cc. You will have to go to the RTO and submit the necessary documents and after completing all the procedures, you will be issued a license. However, if you are caught driving a bike or car in a public place, the traffic police can take action against you.
